The affordable distributors have high-dollar features that outperform the competition, like a lightweight aluminum housing that's precision CNC-machined for strength and stability, polished steel shafts with sealed ball bearings for stable operation through 10,000 rpm, and a maintenance-free, high-output magnetic trigger for accurate and reliable performance. The distributors have a black alkyd cap and an adjustable mechanical advance, so you can precisely tune the curve to your engine setup. Some models also feature vacuum advance. An ignition box is required for use with Summit Racing™ billet distributors.

Summit Racing™ Digital RTR Plus Billet Distributors
We've taken our original Ready-to-Run billet distributors and upped the ante with our Summit Racing™ Digital RTR (Ready-to-Run) Plus billet distributors. They now feature a digital module with a 7.5 amp rated dwell control circuit for maximum energy output. They deliver 400 volts and 125mJ of spark energy to the coil and upwards of 50,000 volts from the coil to the spark plugs. We've also added a single-stage rev limiter with a simple "tap to ground" process of the tachometer lead attached to the module to set the limiter. The tachometer dual purpose lead also produces a 25 percent duty cycle, square wave signal, so it can be used with multifunction tachometers and most popular aftermarket EFI systems. Another bonus feature of our digital technology is a fully automatic start retard. This built-in feature provides 4 degrees of timing retard during cranking and is fully dialed out by 300 rpm. This gives you easier and quicker hot restarts while lowering the initial start load on the starter and electrical system. With all these upgraded features, you're assured of peak output throughout all RPM ranges, quicker hot starts, EFI capability and the reliability of digital technology. The distributors still have the same lightweight, forged, precision CNC-machined aluminum housing for strength and stability; polished steel shafts with sealed ball bearings for stable operation through 10,000 rpm; and a maintenance-free, high-output magnetic trigger for accurate and reliable performance. All distributors come with a high-quality, 30 percent glass-filled PBT cap and rotor with brass terminals and contacts. An ignition box is not required for use with Summit Racing™ Digital RTR Plus billet distributors except when used with an aftermarket EFI system. Select the model recommended for your car, truck, or van. These Ready-to-Run distributors must use a coil with .5 to .7 Ohms primary resistance and 5 to 7 mH primary inductance.

Upgrade your ignition to the power and performance of a Summit Racing™ system. Our ignition system combos for Chevy V8 feature a Summit Racing™ multi-spark digital capacitive discharge ignition box (with or without rev limiter), a Summit Racing™ billet distributor or blueprinted HEI distributor, and our 51,000 V, 260 milliamp ignition coil (the HEI kit does not include the external coil). "Summit Street Series" 8mm ignition wire sets give you an all-around high quality constructed wire set and custom fit. Our street proven wire sets offer a high heat black silicone outer jacket and high dielectric strength inner jacket bonded together with fiberglass matting to provide you with the ultimate in a street series wire set. The 8mm construction protects the 500ohm per foot Mag wire-wound RFI suppression core from the thermal heat breakdown, associated with the extreme heat from the street.
