Summit Racing™ Engine Travel Limiters provide you an affordable complete kit to keep that engine where you mounted it. When using motor plates, the engine may try to move forwards or backwards in the chassis under hard acceleration or braking which could create binding and other problems. These travel limiters bolt to a plate on the engine block and give you a diagonal link to the frame rail that positively locates the engine to keep it from flexing the motor plates. These comes unassembled and include all necessary tabs and hardware. Welding and fabrication skills are required.

In an automatic transmission the sprag also called a one-way, or roller clutch is a mechanical clutch designed to lock up or stop a drum from rotating when a clutch is applied during an up shift. The torque load they are required to hold is usually a lot, even with stock engines. As horsepower and torque go up the demand on these sprags does too, which can lead to failures.
