The lightweight heads are cast from A-356 aluminum alloy and have 200cc intake ports, 64cc combustion chambers, phosphorous bronze valve guides, and ductile iron valve seats for use with unleaded gas. Summit Racing™ Pro Hemi automotive camshafts are easy on the valvetrain and stable at high rpms. They work well with superchargers and nitrous, and will require springs, a tune, phaser limiter, and an MDS (multi-displacement system) delete. The smaller cams in this group have a noticeable lope and good power across the range, while the larger cams have a serious lope with strong top-end. Choose the one that best fits your purpose. Notes: * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 1 has a noticeable lope and works great in 5.7L as a daily driver. It makes good power through the range, and a tune and phaser limiter are required. A free flowing aftermarket exhaust is recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 2 has a mild lope and works great in a daily driver. These cams have slightly narrower lobe separation to increase torque and compliment short runner intakes. They come in distinct cam timing increments to give you maximum control over the power band. Summit Racing™ Pro LS Automotive cams are affordable and designed in stages with very specific cam timing for each individual application in cathedral and rectangle port versions. This ensures maximum performance and gives you the idle you are looking for. The lobes are designed for stability at high rpm with the spring pressures found in quality .600 and .670 in. spring packs. Careful design guarantees the cams can be installed with minimal difficulty. Although piston to valve clearance should always be verified, the Stage 2 and 3 cams often allow for additional cylinder head milling. The Stage 4 cams often require no changes but can be degreed slightly different as needed. Starting with American bearing steel, they are precision machined on a Landis 3LB CNC grinder with CBN diamond wheels for unmatched quality.
