Strange Rear Axle Housings
Strange offers their rear axle housings in a variety of configurations, from just the center housing to complete, ready-to-bolt-in assemblies. The axle housings are designed and manufactured to be more rigid and stronger than OEM housings. Depending on the application, they're fabricated from proprietary nodular iron (substantially stronger than cast iron) and other quality materials—then fixture-welded to ensure proper alignment; slotted for full tube engagement; and reinforced at critical areas to reduce center section and axle tube flex. Their seamless chromoly shafts are heat-treated and feature 1350 or 1480 Spicer precision, self-lubricating U-joints.
