Stillen offers a wide range of performance parts, including the Trupower air intake scoops for a variety of vehicle makes and models. The factory air intake system on various Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra vehicles is a very unique and creative design. There is no natural path for the air to flow through. The air must travel up the face of the radiator in order to make its way into the air intake opening. Keep in mind the radiators operational temperature is 180-220 degrees—significantly higher than ambient. To solve the issues with this otherwise, fantastic design the team at Stillen created a proper scoop—the Trupower, which lowers the base of the radiator shroud to be in line with the top bar of the vehicle's grille. This design allows for air to come directly into the intake system without being warmed by the radiator or disrupted by lattice type material in the radiator shroud, which eliminates the pre-heating and turbulence caused by the factory system. Stillen Competition Series exhaust systems deliver the best performance, best flow, and best sound. These cat-back exhausts are intended for owners that want to be heard; with no mufflers, these straight piped systems are aggressive, allowing your engine to be fully experienced. The R&D design started with a stainless steel flange precision TIG welded to 2.5 in. tubes leading into a CNC-bent and CNC-machined X pipe, offering a large cross-sectional area which allowed a merge the left and right banks to improve sound without restricting the exhaust flow. Each system is supported by a Stillen branded cross brace supporting and accentuating the exhaust system, then finished with polished stainless, burnt stainless steel, or carbon fiber exhaust tips. Stillen Competition Series exhaust systems offer all the benefits of an engineered, dyno tested, and performance designed exhaust system at a low cost with a more aggressive tone than a system featuring mufflers.
