The layout enables you to retain the factory heatshield found on 2018 and newer GT models—without cutting and expanding the crossover pipe to retain the OE shields or chiseling off the OE shields. With mandrel-bent 2.5 in. diameter tubing, these crossover pipes easily install between the factory catalytic converters and the factory mufflers. They're also compatible with virtually all aftermarket axle-back exhaust kits. The 304 stainless steel tubing will not develop surface rust typical with 409 stainless, nor rust completely through like aluminized mild steel. When you push your Cobra to the limit in the corners, you may be applying enough force to twist the differential cover beyond its ability to flex. Repeatedly doing this causes the metal in the differential cover to separate, leaving you stranded. Steeda has come up with a solution to fix this problem.
