Sonnax billet accumulator pistons feature a stronger piston made from anodized billet aluminum with a dual-seal design. OEM plastic accumulators are prone to breaking and have poor sealing qualities and the metal rings currently offered with aftermarket accumulators also have issues with sealing. Sonnax piston's seals prevent piston-to-bore contact and the D-rings vastly improve sealing compared to aftermarket steel rings.

Sonnax valve body separator plates are offered for several applications. The OE-quality plates incorporate a black silicon sealant bead to bond upper and lower valve body sections together, once rebuild is complete. The OE pressure regulator valve design prevents adequate cooler flow at low rpm and high-pressure conditions, which can create overheating. Additionally, in 1999 and later vehicles, the factory EPC pressure was set high at idle, resulting in engine surge conditions in GM 4L80-E and 4L85-E units. Sonnax lube-regulated pressure regulator valves provide a significant increase in cooler flow under low rpm and high-pressure conditions that benefits all vehicles—and eliminates the need for reprogramming 1999 and later vehicles with high EPC pressure at idle.

The Chrysler 46RH/RE, 47RH/RE, 48RE and A727 units used in high performance applications often bend or break the kickdown band strut. To help eliminate these issues, Sonnax offers heavy-duty kickdown band struts—made of solid, heat-treated steel that will not bend or break like other stamped struts. These quality replacements feature an extra-thick cross-section for maximum toughness to withstand the increased intermediate "band" applied forces that are common in high performance applications. Installation is easy: just remove the pan and valve body to expose the bottom of the transmission, loosen the adjusting screw to remove all tension from the band, then remove the original strut and insert your new one with the flat surface facing away from the band. Tighten the adjusting screw to manufacturer specs—and you're good to go!

Sonnax TCC regulator and isolator valve kits assist in recovering hydraulic control and renew TCC performance. Severe wear of the TCC (torque convertor clutch) regulator valve bore, caused by oscillation of the OE valve, allows the regulated converter to apply pressure to your exhaust. This is a primary cause for TCC-related slip code and overheated converters. Exhaust pressure also diminishes line pressure, which can result in burnt clutches. Excess wear at the isolator valve bore reduces TCC apply pressure. Reconditioning the bore and installing a Sonnax TCC regulator and isolator valve kit will restore normal TCC operation by reestablishing the hydraulic integrity of this circuit. GM 6L45, 6L50, 6L80 and 6L90 automatic transmission units may exhibit multiple line pressure and cooler/converter/lube flow problems due to excess wear in the pressure regulator bore. Deterioration at the balance spool end allows critical fluid loss, resulting in high line pressure, harsh shifts, and overheating due to reduced cooler/converter flow. Wear at the outboard spool robs converter feed pressure and lowers line pressure, resulting in soft shifts and burnt clutches. Installing a Sonnax pressure regulator valve kit restores the hydraulic integrity of these circuits for proper line pressure control in all ranges. A new pressure regulator valve outer spring is also included to replace weakened original springs and provide a modest 5 psi increase across the pressure curve.
