Powerglide transmissions lack the simplicity of connecting a shifting linkage to them that later GM automatic transmissions adopted. As a result, there exist many different range-select shafts with their differences. Shiftworks steering column shift linkages are offered in two different kits to use with models that have removable or non-removeable transmission shift levers. Choose the proper kit for your Powerglide. Both kits include: * 22 in. right-hand/left-hand threaded 5/16 in. rod * RH/LH spherical rod ends with lock nuts and washers * Steering column adapter to 5/16 in. * New transmission shift lever (range select lever) 649-1202 kit also includes: * New range select shaft * New range select shaft seal * New kickdown shaft with O-ring and O-ring retainer * Kickdown lever * Required nuts
