Scat Engine Rotating Assemblies
Scat engine rotating assemblies are available with either a high-quality Scat forged 4340 crankshaft or Scat's Series 9000 cast crankshaft, plus I-beam or H-beam connecting rods with 7/16 in. or 3/8 in. cap screw bolts. For maximum power and reliability, Scat adds rod and main bearings from King, Federal Mogul, or Clevite 77, depending upon the application—and pistons and piston rings made by such well-known manufacturers as SRP/JE, Ross, KB, Mahle, Diamond, and Probe. Kits with cast and standard forged pistons have standard rings; kits with premium forged pistons have file-fit rings. Nearly 800 Scat kits are available; order the package tailored for fitment with your engine application.

Scat Timing Chain and Gear Sets
Crankshaft. Camshaft. Timing Belt. Three essential components linked together, keeping your engine firing properly! Those parts don't last forever, of course, so replacement timing chain and gear sets are available from SCAT Enterprises to restore accurate, reliable timing and performance. Most of these billet steel sets include a Torrinton bearing and a keyway at the crank, allowing you to move the cam timing forward or back to the desired setting.

Scat Forged Counterweight Crankshafts
Scat forged counterweighted crankshafts are made from high-tensile 4340 chromoly steel, with fully machined exterior profiles. All four counterweights are machined to exact symmetrical position and mass. The cranks are electronically balanced to within 2 grams, ground to exacting tolerances, and micro-polished for maximum bearing life. These replacement crankshafts are designed for 1908-27 Ford Model T applications.
