With the DT-200X, Sangean wanted to add an extra function or two to improve the radio without affecting reception quality, so they added a clock, backlight, and Deep Bass Boost (DBB) technology. They made the case smaller and the LCD larger. They integrated the speaker and headphone selector switch with the mono/stereo switch. They restructured the 19 memories to be used on any band and in any order, in addition to a memory seeking function. A "My Favorite" button whisks you to your favorite radio stations.

Sangean worked tirelessly to ensure that their legacy of superior sound reproduction and receiver sensitivity were not lost because of the additional features. The DT-200Xs are radios they can be proud to say have replaced the DT-200.
