S&S Cycle Oil Pump Kits

If you're overhauling an older motorcycle engine or building a lubrication system from scratch, consider the turnkey ease of S&S Cycle oil pump kits. They offer the same width oil supply and return gears as a stock Harley-Davidson® aluminum pump, but these driveshaft gears increase potential oil volume delivery by 25 percent over stock on some engines. S&S pumps are machined with an oil pressure bleed-off passage, relieving pressure build-up on top of the valve to maintain consistent oil pressure. Excess oil is also routed directly to the supply side of the pump to reduce the amount returned to the tank—which means less foaming and cavitation. S&S Cycle Oil Pump Driveshaft Woodruff Keys

S&S Cycle offers oil pump driveshaft woodruff keys for a wide range of Harley-Davidson© street bikes from 1936 through 2000. The semi-circular shaped machine keys fit into a specially cut slot (called a keyway) on a shaft, preventing gears, hubs, or other components from rotating independently on that shaft. They essentially act as a locking mechanism to keep parts aligned and prevent slippage during rotation. These steel replacements are machined according to factory specs to ensure proper fitment and performance. The keys are available individually or in a set of 10.
