OTC Robinair Process Tube Adapter Kits

OTC Robinair process tube adapter kits are designed to provide the fastest and easiest way for connecting charging lines to process tubes for evacuating and recharging a system. The design of these A/C service tools ensures an absolute seal between the tubing and the charging hose. It eliminates the need for flaring and the possibility of tubing chips getting into the system. To use, first depressurize the system following the manufacturer's instructions. It's important to note that adapter parts and tubing be free of oil and moisture. Then follow the steps listed below: Step 1: Install a piercing valve on the process tube Step 2: Cut the end off the process tube behind the pinch-off point or solder Step 3: Slide the cap and the appropriate size seal and washer assembly for 3/16 in., 1/4 in., 5/16 in., or 3/8 in. tubing onto the process tube Step 4: Thread the body into the cap until it is hand tight Step 5: Connect to the charging line—Evacuate and recharge the system Step 6: Use Robinair Pinch-off Tool (sold separately) to crimp the tubing Step 7: Remove the process fitting Step 8: Solder the end of the process tube
