RideTech StrongArm suspension systems utilize an offset trailing arm with a "trussed" design which allows maximum tire width while providing the utmost in strength. The rear trailing arms have PTFE bearings, and the strut rods are outfitted with R-joint rod ends to combine the best qualities of low-friction movement, lateral stability, full range articulation, and quiet operation into one special bearing that is as home on the street as it is on the racetrack. When combined with the tubular rear crossmember, the trailing arms place the coilovers to the rear of the axle for better motion ratio and damping control while providing additional height adjustment via the movable lower coilover mounts. RideTech 1965-79 F-100/F-150 IFS suspension systems are bolt-in and super stout. Significantly more rigid and stronger than the original front suspension, kits are available with RideTech tall pin or hub spindles, and each kit is designed so you can install it yourself with hand tools and a little elbow grease. These stock 4-link axle assemblies allow for the easiest installation of your 4-link system. The 9 in. Ford housings are great foundations for putting torque to the pavement. They feature a webbed center section, internal gussets, thick wall tubes, and billet steel flanges (new-style Big Bearing/Torino). The pinion is offset 1/2 in. and the axle flange is offset 2 1/2 in. Ridetech stock housing and axle packages are offered in two axle lengths and available raw or with a black powdercoat finish. Select the proper length and preferred finish for your project.
