Eliminating wheel hop and tire chatter during acceleration is the primary role of the traction bar system. With modern big horsepower and large sticky tires the stock leaf spring suspension in the F150 is prone to providing considerable issues. Working in conjunction with the RideTech lowering system, RideTech Ford F150 traction bar kits eliminate these ill effects and provide hard launching, plus smooth and powerful acceleration both from a straight line and coming out of a corner. They require the complete rear Ridetech lowering system to be installed … and together will get your F150 planted and riding smooth and comfortable for the long haul.

RideTech parallel 4-link systems feature rubber bushings, heavy tubing, laser-cut bracketry, and a panhard bar to position the rear axle side to side in many applications. They avoid interference between the upper bars and the OEM gas tank. These systems are also slightly easier for the casual installer to visualize and install because there are fewer bar mounts to deal with--the frame brackets and axle brackets carry both upper and lower bars. The 4-link bars use .219 in. thick wall direct-threaded DOM tubing for maximum strength, and CNC laser-cut and folded .188 in. wall alloy steel bracketry for strength and accuracy.

These CoolRide systems have the greatest application coverage and versatility of all of RideTech's systems. They will raise and lower the vehicle, improve the handling, and offer a terrific ride. On a front system, the shock is usually relocated to the outboard side of the lower control arm. A weld-on bracket mounts the top of the shock to the frame rail. On a rear system, the air spring and shock absorber will normally go in the stock locations. These CoolRide systems consist of an air spring, a shock absorber, and all of the necessary mounting bracketry and hardware.
