If you have chosen a Ridetech 4-link system to improve the ride quality, handling, and braking of your classic muscle car, the next purchase should be a Ridetech Ford 9 in. housing and axle package with integrated 4-link and sway bar brackets. These narrowed 4-link axle assemblies allow for the easiest installation of your 4-link system. The 9 in. Ford housings are great foundations for putting torque to the pavement. Spanner wrenches are a must-have tool for adjusting your coilover shock absorbers. RideTech's wrenches grip the retainer under the spring to spin it and adjust the coil spring up or down. By loosening the small bolt holding the collar, you can turn it with the wrench; no need to unbolt the top of the shock. Correct adjustment of the coil spring preload is a critical step toward improved suspension and handling.
