Spanner wrenches are a must-have tool for adjusting your coilover shock absorbers. RideTech's wrenches grip the retainer under the spring to spin it and adjust the coil spring up or down. By loosening the small bolt holding the collar, you can turn it with the wrench; no need to unbolt the top of the shock. Correct adjustment of the coil spring preload is a critical step toward improved suspension and handling. RideTech machined spanner wrenches can be used manually or as an attachment on your 3/8 in. ratchet.

Why taller ball joints? OEM muscle car front suspension geometry usually creates positive camber when cornering. This means that the loaded tire leans away from the turn--a huge compromise in cornering performance and feel. These CoolRide systems have the greatest application coverage and versatility of all of RideTech's systems. They will raise and lower the vehicle, improve the handling, and offer a terrific ride. On a front system, the shock is usually relocated to the outboard side of the lower control arm. A weld-on bracket mounts the top of the shock to the frame rail. On a rear system, the air spring and shock absorber will normally go in the stock locations. These CoolRide systems consist of an air spring, a shock absorber, and all of the necessary mounting bracketry and hardware.
