When you're changing rear-end gears, getting the crush sleeve properly compressed to set the pinion bearing preload has to be done right the first time, so do it with less hassle. Smart Sleeve kits compress more easily with only about half of the ft.-lbs. of regular crush sleeves. And with more usable compression distance and better cycle duty than solid spacer and shim packs, it makes good sense to make Smart Sleeve kits a part of your install.
