These RAM single disc push-type conversion C4 Corvette clutch kits are designed to replace the pull-style clutch and dual mass flywheel in your factory 1989-96 C4 Chevrolet Corvette. They consist of an aluminum flywheel, a high-clamp Borg and Beck-style pressure plate with a 2,800 lb. clamp load, and a RAM 300 Series organic clutch disc. RAM Force 10.5 dual disc clutch kits have a strap-driven floater plate and are precision-balanced for quiet operation. The sprung hub top disc absorbs shock and reduces driveline noise. Force clutches are available with your choice of a 300 Series friction disc or a 900 Series disc. The 300 Series organic disc models are capable of handling 500 to 800 hp; while the 900 Series metallic models can handle between 600 and 1,200 hp. RAM Hydraulic Throwout Bearing Travel Adjustment Systems
RAM hydraulic throwout bearing travel adjustment systems are designed for late model vehicles equipped with internal slave cylinder and bearings. Factory hydraulic systems do not allow for adjustment of the pedal position, often resulting in a high engagement point when using aftermarket clutches. The Ram system allows you to adjust your pedal position lower to the floor for better driver comfort, while allowing you to minimize the release of your clutch system for racing applications. Some vehicles experience shifting problems at higher RPM due to over centering, or over travel of the clutch fingers. By limiting this travel and setting the clutch pedal for minimum release this over travel situation can be eliminated, restoring clean shifts at high RPM.
