The Concept 10.5 dual disc organic clutch kits are the logical choice when superb drivability and maximum holding power are needed. RAM Billet Aluminum Flywheels
If you're building an all-out competition car, then you need a lightweight flywheel that will allow the engine to rev quicker and not eat up a lot of power. RAM billet aluminum flywheels greatly reduce rotating weight to permit quicker revving and higher power output, but still retain enough mass to resist heat distortion that could adversely affect clutch performance. RAM billet aluminum flywheels are made in America and produced in house. All RAM flywheels are computer-balanced within a 1/2 oz., surface ground (which results an optimum mating surface), and are ready to run out of the box. SFI-approved, these flywheels are CNC-machined from certified materials and have rugged steel friction-surface inserts. RAM's billet aluminum flywheels feature a 1/4 in. thick friction insert to dissipate heat away without distortion. Technical note: As it spins, a heavy flywheel stores more energy than a lighter one. Engine and gearing combinations that require more power or inertia to make the car launch without bogging the motor need heavier flywheels. However, heavier flywheels accelerate slower. Lighter flywheels create less inertia at launch, but accelerate quicker through the gears. To effectively use a lighter flywheel, you must consider the car's weight, operating rpm of the engine, and, most importantly, the gearing. Too little gear will cause the engine to 'bog' on launch.

RAM Billet Steel Flywheels
Cast flywheels are not explosion-proof and can be dangerous when used in high performance applications at higher rpm. RAM billet steel flywheels are recommended as replacements for factory-cast flywheels in high performance and racing vehicles. Made in America and produced in-house, all RAM flywheels are computer balanced within a 1/2 oz., surface ground (which results an optimum mating surface), and are ready to run out of the box. They're better for launching heavier drag race cars and provide better drivability in street vehicles. SFI-approved, RAM billet steel flywheels are CNC-machined from certified materials. Order the model recommended for your year/make and engine application. Technical note: As they spin, heavy flywheels store more energy than lighter ones. RAM billet steel alignment tools are precision-machined for perfect alignment of clutch discs. These specialty tools feature an open backside that allows the clutch pack to be progressively loaded without having to juggle all of the parts when performing the clutch install. Force clutches are available with your choice of a 300 Series friction disc or a 900 Series disc. The 300 Series organic disc models are capable of handling 500 to 800 hp; while the 900 Series metallic models can handle between 600 and 1,200 hp. These kits use a marcel spring—a thin, wavy device that helps to eliminate the go-or-no-go tendency that similar dual disc clutches have.
