Racepak's Vehicle Network (V-Net) is a "smart data" transfer network able to transmit multiple signals from sensors over a single cable. The key to the V-Net system is the modular connectors that attach each of the devices to the main cable. For a function or component to be monitored on the V-Net, the signal from that device must pass through a sensor and its module (essentially a miniature computer) that identifies and retrieves only the proper incoming signals and allows other signals to pass through. The sensor measures the input from the function or device (i.e. rpm, pressure, temperature, etc.), while the module converts the signal so it can be transmitted over the V-Net. Racepak analog pre-programmed V-Net modules with sensors are programmed to collect specific data and are ready for plug-and-play installation on the V-Net cable. Racepak split collar and magnet assemblies provide mounting platforms for the magnets that trigger the sensor monitoring the revolutions of a shaft. They are typically used on rear-end yokes and couplers to deliver driveshaft rpm data. Racepak collars are available with either two or eight magnets. The 8-magnet collars help detect driveshaft rpm sooner than 2-magnet assemblies and are perfect for automatic transmission-equipped vehicles. Racepak split collar and magnet assemblies are available in a wide range of diameters to fit a variety of applications.

Collect exhaust samples accurately with Racepak air/fuel sensors. These A/F sensors come with a 13 in. pigtail cable and are compatible with either gasoline or methanol fueled engines. Gasoline application will display ratios between 9.55:1 and 20:1, while methanol will show from 4.22:1 to 8.7:1. Racepak air/fuel sensors can be used with all V-Net products, and can run on 12 to18 V battery systems.

Racepak Hall Effect driveshaft sensors take advantage of the magnetic field created by simple magnets. It allows the sensors to generate a measurable voltage output known as the Hall Effect. This output can be gauged to accurately determine things like driveshaft or wheel rpm. These metal devices feature a 5/16 in. fine thread pitch on one end and a 3-pin Molex connector on the other for installation. Racepak Hall Effect driveshaft sensors work with several models of Racepak data loggers and dashes.
