RACEceiver hardware transponder units are lightweight, compact devices that provide a reliable, automatic, and hassle-free lap counting and race timing solution for motorsports. Unlike battery-powered transponder units, the hardwire transponders are attached to each race car by wiring the unit directly to the race cars 12 V DC battery, eliminating the need for charging and providing continuous, maintenance-free operation during a race.

The transponder units primary purpose and how it works:
Each transponder is assigned a unique identification number to differentiate individual vehicles. As the vehicle passes over the Loop Antenna, the Decoder reads this identification number and determines a crossing time. As the race car crosses a designated timing point on the track, the transponder unit transmits its unique ID to a trackside decoder. The decoder captures the exact time the transponder passed over the loop. The timing data is sent to a computer system, which can then display lap times on scoreboards, providing results to race officials, and/or be used for post-race analysis.
