They taper to a smaller I.D. on the bottom end for ride-height adjustment when using a coilover front shock. As GM did not design its front suspension to accept a true coilover spring, these tapered coils give better travel and make installation a snap! The Pro Shocks TASS Series features 2 in. body rear or front shocks that fit most GM full, mid-sized and metric frame cars. This series offers you rebuildable, revalvable steel body take-apart shocks that are available in your choice of compression valving from 1-9 and rebound valving from 1-14. (They can be repaired or revalved at the factory or at one of Pro Shocks' many Rebuild Centers.)
