Philips Standard Xenon HID headlight bulbs deliver better light, but consume less power. The quality of these bulbs is endorsed by all major car manufacturers. Xenon HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamps offer twice as much light (compared to standard halogen bulbs) for safer driving in all conditions. The intense white, 4200 K light produced by Xenon HID lamps is comparable to daylight. Xenon automotive lighting helps drivers concentrate on the road and distinguish obstacles and road signs much faster than traditional lamps.

They feature high-quality quartz glass that is stronger than ordinary glass and highly resistant to temperature extremes and vibrations, which eliminates the risk of explosion. Philips quartz-glass lamps (filament temperature of 4,800 degrees F and glass temperature of 1,470 degrees F) are able to withstand severe thermal shock. With the capability of increased pressure inside the lamp, Philips Standard Xenon HID headlight bulbs are able to produce a more powerful light.
