The kits replicate your original style cut pile—and these premium replacements are made using 40 percent more top-quality nylon than standard cut pile, and are 50 percent heavier in weight for greater durability and a more luxurious feel. The new carpet eliminates the problems of poor abrasion resistance, shedding fibers, and "fuzzing," while providing excellent protection against color fading. The Mass backing is a special latex coating that's thermos-bonded to the back of the carpet to substantially increase the insulating and sound deadening properties of the basic carpet set.
