That way, the adapters will become a permanent part of the spindle, and when you need new tie rods at some future date, all you have to do is locate the correct pair of tie rods for your application to fit these tie rod bushings.

That is fine if new tie rods are actually needed, but two of these adapter bushings can do the trick with a lot less work! Plus, you get the added benefit of never having to replace the tie rod with "custom fit" tie rods that weren't original on the car.
