MSD Pro-Billet distributor plugs with cam sync are the perfect solution when running an aftermarket sequential EFI system with coil-per-cylinder ignition. The cam sync plug installs in place of a traditional distributor, providing a Hall-effect cam sync signal needed for the EFI system to reference the #1 cylinder. Are you running an aftermarket fuel injection system and looking for a top-notch distributor that actually works? If so, these MSD Pro-Billet Cam Sync distributors are just what you need. They're designed to work with EFI management systems that fire the fuel injectors in the same order as the engine's firing order. They require a sync signal to know when the number one cylinder is firing and feature an adjustable sync pickup so you can set it to match your ECU's requirements (up to 60 degrees BTDC). This sync pickup uses a powerful, rare-earth magnet for strong trigger signals, and the wiring is routed through a weathertight connector for a positive-locking sealed connection. Each distributor housing is CNC-machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, creating a strong, precise housing. The rotor features thick vanes to stir up the air and is injection-molded from Rynite for high dielectric strength. A 0.500 in. polished steel shaft spins the rotor and is guided by a sealed ball bearing at the top and an extra-long sintered bushing at the bottom for added stability. These distributors are ready to drop in your race engine, from the bronze gear to the brass terminals of the cap. Chevrolet models have an adjustable slip collar that allows you to accurately set the distributor's installation depth in the engine. An MSD crank trigger, ignition control, and MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10 Series ignition must be used.

MSD Pro-Billet crank distributors are built specifically for racing engines with almost no room for a distributor, due to tunnel rams or blowers. These units are equipped with a special low-profile crab-style distributor cap, allowing them to fit into extremely tight areas. The housing features two optional O-rings at the bottom that improves oil control by preventing oil pressure loss. Also, a small oil bleed hole (located in the base) sprays oil on the distributor and camshaft gears to prevent excessive wear. Since these are racing distributors, there is an adjustable slip collar to make up for engines that have had the distance between the mounting surface and the gear modified. Crowning the Pro-Billet crank distributor is MSD's own crab cap. This incorporates spark plug-style terminals for a better connection and grip to the plug wires. MSD Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run EFI distributors are the perfect upgrade when you start making serious power with your EFI Ford or Chevy. They use a stock-style trigger pickup and come with plug-in connectors. Installation is simple by removing the stock distributor, then plugging in and bolting the new one in place! A maintenance-free magnetic pickup accurately triggers this ignition with increased output from the amplifier, easily outperforming stock ignitions. These distributors will smooth out the engine's idle, improve starting, and perform at a much higher rpm. Their housings are machined from billet aluminum, using state-of-the-art CNC mills and lathes. For stability and endurance, an oversized steel shaft spins in a top-mounted sealed ball bearing for accuracy through the entire rpm range. Chevy models also feature an extra-long sintered bushing at the bottom and an extra oil tract machined into the bottom of the housing for improved lubrication. MSD Pro-Billet Dual Pickup Distributors

These Pro-Billet dual pickup distributors from MSD are specifically designed for Circle Track racing. Not only do they feature a strong, CNC-machined billet 6061-T6 aluminum housing and a large steel shaft, but they also feature two magnetic pickups for a complete redundant ignition system that can be activated at the flip of a switch. The pickups are triggered as a precision reluctor, mounted to the oversized shaft, spins past. The pickups are placed precisely 180 degrees apart so that when you switch to the secondary ignition, the timing remains constant. Guiding the distributor shaft is the responsibility of two sealed ball bearings for incredible endurance and high-end stability. The shaft also receives a QPQ coating for corrosion resistance and friction reduction. Additional features include a fully adjustable mechanical advance consisting of a hardened advance cam, chromoly weights, and weight pins that are TIG-welded to the advance plate. The entire assembly is welded to the polished steel. The advance assembly can also be easily locked out for quick tuning changes. The Chevrolet model features two O-ring grooves at the base of the CNC-machined housing to prevent oil in the lifter valley from leaking through the oil passage. If the engine deck, heads, or intake have been modified, there is an adjustable slip collar that allows you to set the correct installation depth. All dual pickup distributors include a cap and rotor.

MSD Pro-Billet Front Drive Distributors

MSD's Pro-Billet front drive distributors are the solution for race engines that don't have room for a standard distributor, due to firewall clearance or intake combinations. They're run by a wide 9mm belt that is driven by a pulley installed on the camshaft. The belt is wider than any other drive assembly for increased strength and durability. The distributor head is CNC-machined from billet aluminum and is secured to a stout billet aluminum bracket for strength. This system is an extremely accurate way to distribute the spark energy in harsh racing conditions. The distributors have a built-in belt adjustment feature for easy tension adjustments, and a band clamp mount for easy rotor phasing adjustments. They include MSD's Pro-Cap that is injection-molded from Dupont Rynite material for high dielectric strength, and the five in. diameter ensures accurate spark delivery. The distributors are supplied with mounting bolts, a cam pulley, hardware, and a drive belt. They must be used with a Jesel camshaft belt drive kit and an MSD Flying Magnet crank trigger.
