MSD Timing Tapes

Accurate ignition timing is one of the most vital adjustments you can make to your engine. Proper timing can mean the difference between winning and losing a race or even blowing an engine (as a worst case scenario). MSD Timing Tapes help you to recognize the importance of the timing. They come with eight different tapes to fit common balancers ranging from 5.25 in. to 8 in. in diameter. These tapes are marked off in one degree increments from 14 degrees ATDC to 64 degrees BTDC and are printed on a tough, chemical resistant material. Not only do the MSD Timing Tapes help you get an exact timing setting, they allow you to see exactly where the Total timing is set. Remember, the Total timing is just as critical, if not more, than the initial timing and the MSD Timing Tape will help you ensure that it is set accurately.

MSD Timing Pointers

MSD timing pointers are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. These adjustable pointers are fully machine lightened; and each of the main bodies—as well as adjustment assemblies—are black anodized for long-lasting corrosion protection. They are built as direct-fit components, and various part numbers are available to fit multiple-size balancers. MSD timing pointers are designed to work on small block Chevy, big block Chevy, and small block Ford engines. They have a 4-degree range of movement for you to find the precise timing location. Stainless steel hardware is also included.
