One of the worst parts of assembling PTFE AN line is getting stabbed by the steel braid as you try to pry it back and install the olive or ferule. If you've ever caught a piece of steel braid under your thumbnail, you know how awful this can be. A defective thermostat can result in engine overheating and potential internal damage. Improve the reliability of your Toyota cooling system with a Mishimoto Low-Temperature Racing Thermostat and housing! They're designed as a direct-fit replacement for your aging stock unit. The Mishimoto thermostats have a lower activation temperature (71 degrees C/160 degrees F) compared to the factory thermostat (82 degrees C/180 degrees F). The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, which yields and maintains lower engine temperatures.
