Both S Series alternators feature 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates, and outstanding airflow ensure long service life, even in severe conditions. These units come equipped with a smaller 1.75 in. diameter alternator pulley, and will require a slightly shorter drive belt to be installed for proper belt tension. Based on MechMan's late model large case GM housings, the tried-and-true G Series of alternators are best sellers. Reasonably priced and very reliable, these units feature solid copper custom rectifiers for great durability. Oversize press-fit diodes and premium bearings ensure long life, even in hot or abusive conditions. Models are available with or without an adapter bracket, which allows easy installation of a large case alternator on a 2.2L GM SOH engine. (If you order the alternator/bracket combo, you will need a slightly longer drive belt for proper belt tension.)

MechMan 6-phase hairpin high-output alternators offer a solution to the inadequate alternators that come from the factory on specified vehicles. These replacement units feature twin rectifiers with 12 massive press-fit diodes, as compared to the small 8-diode rectifier in the stock alternator. Even mild performance builds will typically consume more amperage than what stock alternators can provide. Hairpin stator technology provides better high-rpm durability and better resistance to heat from the turbo manifold. The alternators utilize a high rpm-friendly larger diameter pulley, and bolt directly in place of the original equipment. Select the high-output racing alternator model recommended for your application. Note: A 4-gauge or larger positive and negative cable needs to be run between the alternator and the battery terminals for proper function.

MechMan High-Output 6-Phase alternators offers incredible low-rpm output in a compact and durable package. Highly efficient, these units use less horsepower than conventional 3-phase alternators. Their 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates, and outstanding airflow ensure much better durability than standard Delco CS130-based alternators, even in severe conditions. This custom designed housing directly replaces standard CS130 "left mount" alternators as used on 1987-95 Chevy C1500 pickups and some aftermarket accessory drives. A side output stud and seamless rear cover with a side output plug allow for better clearance from the back of the alternator to the front of the engine and a smooth appearance. A single wire on the provided pigtail gets connected to any ignition-switched 12+ volt source to turn the alternator on and off with the ignition switch. Simply run a properly sized positive and ground cable from the alternator to the terminals of the battery and the alternator will work perfectly, regardless of what kind of wiring harness you have. Because of their compact size and standard GM mounting ears, these alternators also work well in many aftermarket or custom bracket installations.
