MechMan indicator light module connectors are for use on GM vehicles with MechMan alternators and equipped with a 2-pin regulator and a RVC (Regulated Voltage Control) sensor. Simply plug module into your vehicle's factory harness and tie out of the way. This will eliminate the check charging system code (battery light). These are especially popular for the customer who wants to bypass the RVC system so that they can run a stand-alone alternator. The reason for this is that when run in the factory form on these model vehicles there will be fluctuating voltage and normally, they will charge at a lower voltage. Although this is all normal since the PCM is controlling the voltage in order to acquire max fuel economy, some will opt to go with a standalone unit to acquire a higher and more stable voltage.

Offered individually as well as supplied with all MechMan hairpin alternators for a range of GM trucks and SUVs, they accept oval GM alternator plugs. The longer blue wire gets connected to an ignition switched 12 V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with ignition and prevent the indicator light from coming on. MechMan harnesses can also be modified and hardwired to ignition 12 V+ for engine swap applications where the stock alternator harness is not available.

MechMan voltage boost harnesses increase the charging voltage by 1.0 V. Offered individually, they fit a range of GM trucks and SUVs with oval 4-pin alternator plug. NOTE: These voltage boost harnesses are NOT for use on standard 12 V AGM batteries. The modules will increase the charging voltage by 1.0 V and will swell and damage AGM batteries.
