The devices measure up to 1,000 V AC/DC voltage, 10 amps AC/DC current, and 40 ohms resistance plus temperature, capacitance, frequency, duty-cycle, diodes, and continuity. They also carry a CAT IV 600V safety rating—and are built to withstand a 6.6 ft. drop and daily wear and tear on the job site. Multimeters offer a low impedance mode for identifying and eliminating ghost or stray voltages.
