TOP FUEL BEARINGS with K-40 POLYMER COATING: This coating composition was specially designed for engines experiencing continuous metal-to-metal contact, which is characteristic of the extreme loading and conditions found in various categories of drag racing. K-40 is used for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod and similar applications—where bearings are required to resist metal-to-metal contact and deformation. Extreme loads cause the oil film to break down, allowing contact between the bearing and crankshaft surfaces. Maintaining low friction, even during the conditions of metal-to-metal contact, is crucial to the life of any engine bearing. King TFC bearings are designed to withstand the loading generated from 10,000 hp Top Fuel engines.
