Icon Vehicle Dynamics multi-rate leaf spring packs include an add-in-leaf to create systems that offer a major performance gain for most any truck setup, even those requiring more load-carrying capabilities. These user-adjustable multi-rate leaf packs feature tip inserts and leaf separators that lessen friction, reduce noise, and increase ride comfort, while military-wrapped eyelets improve the durability and strength of the leaf spring. To increase the ride quality of your truck and gain additional droop travel, the spring rate has been lowered slightly—and this is where the add-in-leaf works. For those who have outfitted their trucks with significant weighty additions, the additional leaf can be exchanged or added to the pack yielding an additional 10 percent or 40 percent spring rate (depending on kit). OE leaf springs can have limiting factors … especially with fully loaded rigs with racks, rooftop tents, and the like. Icon Vehicle Dynamics Steering Tie Rod Ends
The strength limitations of the Ford Bronco's factory steering tie rods has been well documented, especially by Bronco owners who venture into the big rocks with big tires. These ICON XD Forged steering tie rod kits remedy this with better materials and beefier dimensions than the stock units. The inner tie rod and ball stud is CNC-machined from 4140 chromoly. The adjustment threads, where most failures occur on stock tie rods, are 18mm on the XD Forged tie rods versus 14mm on stock Bronco tie rods. The outer tie rod is forged steel and has the same bend as the stock tie rods for fitting all of the Bronco's factory wheel diameters and offsets—along with just about any aftermarket wheel. The tie rod end is a beefier, metal-on-metal joint that's greaseable for extended service life and has the same range of operating angle as the stock tie rod ends. For the most hardcore off-roaders, the ICON Vehicle Dynamics XD Forged tie rod kit (45212) is recommended as part of a comprehensive steering system upgrade strategy.
