Howards Cams Street Force 2 hydraulic flat tappet camshafts are engineered for the street performance enthusiast. The specially designed grinds were created to provide a good idle and increased throttle response. This series of camshafts work best with an improved intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor, free-flow exhaust, and 1,600 to 1,800 stall rpm torque converter. Street Force 2 models also feature 112 degree lobe separations to help maintain vacuum. The cams are available for a wide variety of year/make and engine applications. Howards Cams Street Force 3 hydraulic flat tappet camshafts are engineered for the street performance enthusiast, but also work well for mild bracket racing. The specially designed grinds were created to provide a noticeable idle and strong throttle response. This series of camshafts require the use of an improved intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor, free-flow exhaust, and 2,200 to 2,500 stall rpm torque converter. Upgrading your ignition system and a utilizing a 3.20 to 3.90 gear ratio will provide additional performance. Street Force 3 camshafts also feature 112 degree lobe separations to help maintain vacuum. They're available for a variety of year/make and engine applications. Howards Cams Big Daddy Rattler camshafts are street performance cams designed to give a nice aggressive-sounding idle without sacrificing throttle response and horsepower gains. Big Daddy camshafts are top dog in the Rattler lineup, and as such they offer a rough idle, and are best used in Pro Street or street/strip applications. Compression needs to be at least 9.5:1, the torque converter needs to stall 2,800 rpm or higher, and a performance intake manifold, steeper gears, and free-flowing exhaust are required to take advantage of the camshaft's capabilities.
