The headers are available with 1 3/4 in. or 1 7/8 in. primary tubes and 3 in. collectors—and tube geometry is designed for maximum clearance and hassle-free installation. Hooker has a reputation for building some of the best engineered and toughest exhausts available—and these long-tube headers live up to the hype. They're designed for optimized engine compartment fitment and include oxygen bungs for compatibility with EFI systems. These tough headers use 3/8 in. laser-cut flanges to keep from warping, TIG-welding, and flat finishing for a leak-proof seal and to maximize strength. They aren't compatible with stock manual transmission reverse lock-out linkage, aftermarket, custom linkage or cable drive set-up required to maintain mechanism operation. Hooker Super Competition Headers
With Hooker Super Competition headers, the objective has always been to make the maximum horsepower possible and put it at the optimum point in the power curve. Hooker Super Competition headers feature tuned primary tubes to create optimum pressure between the intake and exhaust systems. Hooker Super Competition headers include premium exhaust gaskets and new mounting bolts. Unless otherwise noted, these headers are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the manufacturer. This includes components like cylinder heads, chassis, steering, motor mounts, body mounts and bushings, etc. If your vehicle is using aftermarket components, parts from other applications, or custom altered parts, then it is the installer's responsibility to verify fitment.
