Holley offers complete T56 transmission installation kits for a variety of engine applications. These kits come complete with everything you need to bolt a GM-style Tremec T-56 or Magnum transmission to almost any Gen III or Gen IV small block Chevrolet engines with a 6- or 8-bolt flywheel. Built with a mixture of Holley's best brands, including Lakewood and Hays, each kit includes a bellhousing, billet steel flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, hydraulic release bearing, roller pilot bearing, and all hardware needed to install these components. * Kit 319-510 is set up to be used with the 6-bolt flywheel LS engines, which are the majority of the Gen III and Gen IV engines produced before 2009 (LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LM7, LQ9, L33, and similar truck engines). * Kit 319-511 is set up to be used with the 8-bolt flywheel LS and Gen V LT engines that come after 2009 (LSA, LT1, LT4, L83, and similar truck engines). Add GM 6L80/90E transmission control to any existing vehicle utilizing a Terminator X Max ECU. A departure from traditional Holley EFI transmission control, the Terminator X Max ECU allows the ability to use 2007+ GM 6L80E and 6L90E transmissions by communicating via CAN with the internal TCM (Transmission Control Module). The supplied Holley EFI OBDII transmission tuning hand-held is used to adjust shift points, tire size and gear ratio. Terminator X V3 software provides the ability to dial in torque management to optimize the desired shifting characteristics when using a 6L80/90E transmission. The software also enables you to control the secondary shift mode within the transmission TCM and allows use of tap Up/Down shifting. The Holley Sniper Transmission Controller (STC) is designed for common GM and Ford electronic 4-speed automatic transmissions. Three part numbers cover a complete range of applications—all Sniper EFI systems, Sniper 2 EFI-specific (M8 CAN connection), or a full standalone unit. The Sniper specific applications connect to your Sniper EFI system via CAN bus and are programmed through the existing Sniper 3.5 in. touch screen. No programming is available with PC computer software; however, the transmission functions can be data-logged and reviewed with Sniper PC software. The Standalone version includes a dedicated 3.5 in. touch screen and is primarily intended for carbureted engine combinations. GM and Ford 4-speed electronic overdrive transmissions are simple in operation. They have four speeds, with the top gear being an overdrive; and all have a lockup torque converter that eliminates any slippage when the lockup is applied. With a stock torque converter, the lockup should only be applied under light throttle conditions or excessive wear will occur. Upshifts, downshifts, and torque converter lockup are based on vehicle speed and throttle position (or optionally the MAP sensor) and are adjustable with the 3.5 in. touch screen.
