These throwout bearing conversion kits are designed specifically for Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models and allow for easy conversion from a mechanical clutch linkage to a modern hydraulic clutch system. They include all necessary components for a straightforward installation: clutch master cylinder, clutch pedal with pad, clutch rod assembly, master cylinder mount and reinforcement plate, master cylinder reservoir kit, and all required mounting hardware. Pedal ratios have been optimized for perfect pedal feel and full engagement of the clutch system. With so many engine and transmission combinations available, Holley has left it up to the installer to decide on which release (or throwout) bearing and hydraulic lines will be used. When installing a new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder/throw-out bearing assembly, it is highly recommended to replace the fluid reservoir. Holley now offers replacement hydraulic clutch master cylinder reservoirs for your modern muscle car that feature a polymer reservoir with a cap and line.

The hydraulic clutch line is responsible for transporting hydraulic fluid from your clutch master cylinder to your clutch slave cylinder—increasing fluid pressure to disengage the clutch, and decreasing pressure to engage the clutch. Holley high-flow clutch hoses serve as direct replacements for the factory originals. They allow for increased fluid capacity, and the braided steel line construction will improve clutch pedal feel—by minimizing expansion and contraction of fluid within the line that commonly occurs with most factory-style plastic/polymer lines.
