Holley Dipstick Drill Guides

When installing an LS7 with a dry sump system into your project, you'll need to modify a few items on the engine before installation of the wet sump system. The Holley dipstick drill guide is a great aid in aligning the new oil dipstick location. LS dry sump engines have the dipstick in the remote oil tank. The boss in the block that is typically used for the dipstick is not drilled. When converting to wet sump, the boss must be drilled. This boss is parallel to nothing else—and you only get one shot at the hole. Holley has developed an easy guide to help locate the bit during the drilling process. Using two nearby threaded block holes, the guide creates easy alignment for a hand drill to exactly drill the hole GM would have for a wet sump application. An innovative drill chip slot allows chips to be vacuumed during the drilling process. Holley offers LS swap 4WD truck off-road oil pan baffles for a variety of trucks, including many Chevy and GMC models from the 1970s and '80s. They take Holley's popular cast aluminum oil pans (P/N 302-4 and 302-4BK) designed to swap LS engines into K10s and other trucks to a whole new level. Vehicles that endure prolonged sessions of climbing, crawling, braking, turning, and accelerating need extra protection from oil starvation. That's where these baffle kits come in. They improve upon the baffle included with those pans, maintain proper oil level at the oil pump pick-up during vehicle elevation and grade changes, accelerations, both lateral and linear, and braking. This prevents loss of engine oil pressure during off-road excursions as well as during hard acceleration. Each baffle is fabricated from sheet aluminum joined by TIG-welded joints. Directionally positioned one-way trap doors allow oil flow toward the oil pump pick-up but not away. Holley Ford 7.3L Godzilla High-Pressure Oil Pump Springs

For certain applications, higher than normal oil pressure is required. Typically, the oil pan must be removed to change the pressure spring on an oil pump. The Holley oil system allows direct access to the spring through the access port on the bottom front of the pan. Holley's high-pressure spring for Ford 7.3L Godzilla engines with their oil pump and pan can be purchased and installed to increase oil pressure by approximately 10 psi at higher rpms. To change the spring, remove the port plug, spring, and plunger. In some cases, the plunger may stay in the port. Make sure when reassembling the plunger is on top of the spring and oriented correctly.
