They are CAD-engineered and precision CNC-machined to strict tolerances. Available in weights up to 50 lbs. for specialized applications, most Hays flywheels are drilled with both the Borg and Beck and Long-style clutch patterns. Note: When choosing a flywheel, remember that a heavier flywheel stores more energy. A heavy car requires more power (or inertia) to launch without bogging the engine and needs a heavier flywheel. Lighter flywheels create less inertia at launch, but will accelerate faster through the gears.
