Gennie Shifter Commander hand brakes expand the Commander Series—enabling builders to define their ride as the ultimate in old school cool. These transmission-mount emergency brakes feature the same upright "No Holds Barred" I-beam design as Commander Shift Sticks with a polished outer beam, blasted finish in the webbing, and the required holes to lighten-up the handle. At home in a muscle car, a '50s era custom, or a lakes-inspired roadster, styling is king in this series of traditional parking brakes. Available in a choice of sizes, the taller version is recommended to match the taller single-bend or the double-bend "Swan" shifters; the shorter handle matches up well with the shorter Commander Shift Sticks.

Gennie Shifter Hand Brake Cable Kits
Gennie Shifter provides a variety of emergency/parking brake cable kits that can be used to connect their hand brakes in almost any application. These hand brake cable kits include one or two 9 ft. heavy-duty cables and all hardware required to connect the parking brakes on many vehicles to Gennie Shifter hand brake handles. The cables must be cut to fit your specific application. Clevis clamp kits are also available separately from Gennie Shifter to adapt cables to different rear ends and brakes.

Gennie Shifter Upright SS Hand Brakes
Gennie Shifter Upright SS hand brakes are a perfect match for trucks, street rods, or classic hot rods from the early teens through the late '30s. Designed to bolt to any Gennie Shifter transmission bracket in the upright position, these parking brakes provide that "Gennie" (slang for genuine) look that Gennie Shifter is famous for. Made from DOM stainless steel tubing with hardened gear selectors that are made to last, providing the leverage you need, and a solid mount to pull against … they are the emergency brakes you can depend on. Available in a choice of lengths, they require a GIS-2000 hand brake bracket, a boot, and cables, all sold separately.
