FuelTech's IGN1A inductive Smart Coils are the perfect ignition coil for your high performance application, with up to 175mj of energy and a long spark discharge time of 3.2ms. These coils provide great idle characteristics, as well as the power to needed run your engine with high cylinder pressures from boost, nitrous injection, or even high strung naturally aspirated applications. Max dwell can be up to 9ms for short periods of time to extract the maximum output from the coil when under high boost or load. Under normal driving conditions 5ms of dwell is recommended. At 9ms of dwell time, these coils will consume 20 amps each while sending 150mA of current to the spark plug! At 5ms they will consume 8 amps each—so make sure you account for that when wiring them up on your vehicle. Installing IGN1A coils with one of FuelTech's PRO550 or PRO600 harnesses is a breeze with their plug-and-play V8 smart coil harness, giving you a complete wiring solution for both your engine management and high performance ignition system.

The FuelTech FTSPARK GEN II is an extremely high-energy Capacitive Discharge Ignition (CDI) system designed to meet the highest spark requirements for racing. It's developed for high-horsepower combinations and test-proven on 5,000+ horsepower engines! Compatible with any ECU on the market, this system is able to generate a spark with up to 750mJ (mJ=mili Joules) of energy—and is capable of firing the spark with 140 amps of current in the coil primary. With these features, FTSPARK generates a spark with approximately 5x more energy and 10x more current compared to a SparkPRO, ensuring a burn in any condition, especially in extremely rich air/fuel ratios. Models are available for 4-, 6-, or 8-coil applications. FuelTech CDI racing coils were developed to be used with the FuelTech FTSPARK on engines running individual coils and also rotary engines. The coils are designed to be used ONLY in conjunction with capacitive discharge ignitions (like a FTSPARK, for example). Using the coils with inductive ignition drivers will damage them. Do not use with FuelTech SparkPRO. Recommended spark plug wires: MSD Super Conductor, MSD-31193.

FuelTech CDI racing ignition coil brackets will mount four FuelTech CDI racing ignition coils. Made from lightweight billet aluminum (only 13.1 oz.), the bracket kits include four 1/4 in. socket head cap screws to mount the coils to the bracket and four 1/4 in. threads in the back, front, and bottom for mounting to the chassis.
