Boosting performance isn’t just about bolting on new components to increase raw power output. Ford performance packages add some “mind” to your ride’s “muscle,” delivering all-around improvements through a blend of software and hardware upgrades designed to maximize the capabilities of your late-model Mustang, Focus ST, or Ranger.

Each package features a bundle of pre-selected components that work together to improve your vehicle’s performance. Different packages are available to address different needs, with level 1 upgrades often being an ideal fit for on-road performance and higher numeral tiers offering something more for those who love to compete.

Performance Packages for 2011-14 Mustangs

Ford Performance Parts offers various calibration kits intended for model-year 2011-14 Mustang GT and Boss 302 models:

• Air Filter and Calibration Kits—Available for 2011-14 Mustang GT and 2012-13 Boss 302 models, these kits include a high-flow K&N air filter and ProCal tool with performance calibration for increased power and torque. Ford says you can expect to see a peak increase of 16 horsepower and 7 lb.-ft. of torque using 93 octane fuel.

• Boss TracKey Calibration Kits—Designed exclusively for the 2012-13 Boss 302 and 302 Laguna Seca, Ford Performance Parts’ TracKey calibration kits modify various PCM parameters, including cam and ignition timing, engine braking, throttle response, and more for optimal performance. Exclusive features include driver-adjustable launch control and pit lane speed control.

• Track Cal Calibration and Filter Kits—Available only for 2013-14 Mustang GT models with manual transmissions, these kits Track Cal by Ford Performance Parts are exclusive calibrations that provide added functionality to 2013-2014 Mustang GT with manual transmission. Containing exclusive calibrations designed for track use, including driver adjustable launch control and driver adjustable pit lane speed control.

Performance Packages for 2015-17 Mustangs

Whether you are driving a base-model 2015-17 Mustang or a higher-powered GT model, you can squeeze more juice from your pony car with one of these performance packages. The only thing you need to determine is which one is right for you.

• 2.3L Mustang EcoBoost Performance Package—Upgrade your already potent turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with easy-to-install components that increase power and torque throughout the powerband. A Ford Performance Parts cold air intake with open element airbox and ProCal tool are included.

• Mustang GT Performance Packages—Ford Performance Parts offers three stages of performance upgrades for your 2015-17 Mustang GT, each of which includes proprietary software that allows rear gear ratio changes up to 4.09:1. The Power Pack 1 calibration kit increases off-the-line throttle response, offering an optimized performance shift schedule for automatic transmissions and an exclusive, no-lift shift strategy for manual transmissions. Power Pack 2 adds a GT350 cold air intake, 87mm throttle body, and an open-air filter that is 50-state legal. Finally, Power Pack 3 includes those upgrades, along with a GT350 intake manifold to deliver even more top-end power.

Performance Packages for 1018-19 Mustangs

More recent Mustangs fitted with Ford’s popular EcoBoost engine can still benefit from enhanced performance with a Ford Performance Parts calibration kit. Available for both manual and automatic models, these kits are designed to provide horsepower and torque gains throughout the powerband. Each comes with the ProCal 3 hand-held tuner, high-flow air filter, and a calibration voucher.

Performance Packages for Other Ford Vehicles

Performance Parts also offers performance packages for those who want to improve the drivability and responsiveness of their late-model Ford Focus ST and Ford Ranger vehicles.

• 2013-18 Ford Focus ST—Focus ST models fitted with the 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 engine are compatible with several Ford Performance Parts upgrade packs. Ford’s calibration and spark plug kit offers improved engine sound, more horsepower, and significant increases in torque up to 4,200 rpm. The kit includes a Ford Performance Parts spark plug set and the ProCal 3 hand-held tuner. Ford’s next level kit includes all of those upgrades and adds a high-flow K&N air filter and cold air intake. Finally, the FR1 power upgrade pack takes performance even further with an included cat-back exhaust system.

• 2019-20 Ford Ranger—Upgrade your Ford Ranger with a 50-state legal calibration designed to improve power output, throttle response, and drivability throughout the rpm range. This kit features an optimized shift schedule and delivers gains of 45 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and torque gain of 60 lbs.-ft. 2,500 rpm. Each kit includes a ProCal 4 calibration tool and high-flow K&N air filter.
