Ford Performance Parts mechanical pumps are available in stock volume and Maximum Flow (high-volume) models. Stock volume pumps have an OEM-spec shaft and bearing with a stamped impeller, and are recommended for engines that operate below 6,000 rpm. Maximum Flow pumps feature heavy-duty ball/roller bearings for long life, a CNC-machined, curved vane impeller and billet hub, and distribute the same amount of coolant to both sides of the engine block. That eliminates hot spots, to help your engine produce maximum power without detonation or pre-ignition.

Small block Fords are pretty compact engines. But their accessory drive setup tends to make swapping them into street rods or small engine compartments a little tougher. One of these Ford Performance Parts shorty-style mechanical water pumps will help solve that problem. These V-belt drive pumps are approximately 1.5 in. shorter than stock, allowing more fan and radiator clearance without recessing the firewall. They must be used with Ford Performance Parts Street Rod pulley sets, and the 4-bolt, long-style 3.950 in. harmonic damper.
