FAST XDi Street HEI Distributors

FAST XDi Street HEI distributors include the industry-first gear technology with an upgraded module and coil that ensure clean ignition firing up to 8,500+ rpm. Ideal for SB and BB Chevy engines, each of the XDi distributors feature a plasma nitrided gear compatible with all popular camshaft materials, including cast iron, austempered iron, 5160 steel, and even 8620 steel. The special plasma nitride process used on the gears not only increases the gear's surface hardness, but also the "slickness" of the gear teeth reducing friction and increasing cam/distributor gear life, as well as making them superior to common melonized gears. FAST XR-1A High-Output Ignition Coils

FAST XR-1A high-output ignition coils are designed specifically for high-compression naturally aspirated, boosted, or nitrous-equipped applications making more than 1,000 hp. This horsepower range is far beyond the capabilities of OE coils. The spark energy of the FAST coils is comparable to CDI (capacitive discharge ignition) systems without the need to convert. The smart coil design also requires no ignitor module. XR-1A high-output ignition coils deliver up to 44,000 volts, 103mJ of energy, and support a maximum of 19 amps of current and 17 volts. They're designed to work with all OEM equipment, as well as FAST products that support coil-near-plug applications such as the XIM and EZ-LS ignition controllers. FAST XDi Sportsman Distributors

FAST XDi Sportsman distributors are designed to deliver the most accurate trigger signal possible throughout the entire rpm range of your race engine. This is accomplished through the use of an advanced Hall-effect style pickup, which is then converted to a signal that most CD ignition controls accept. The benefit of a Hall-effect pickup is: there is no retard, commonly called magnetic pickup compensation—so you can ensure your timing remains stable from idle to race rpm. Inside the CNC-machined billet housing is a polished stainless steel shaft that is supported with sealed ball bearing on the top and a long bushing on the bottom. They've also reduced end play in the distributor to take out any timing variations and damage to the gear. FAST XDi distributors are supplied with high-quality rotors and caps, and are available with a large diameter Ford-style cap or smaller diameter GM points size cap with HEI terminals, as well as either a steel or bronze gear.
