Factor 55 Hawse Fairleads
Factor 55 hawse fairleads are the best in the business. They're CNC-machined from thick USA 6000-Series aluminum bar and thicker than the industry-standard 0.75 in. size to extend rope life. Additionally, the slot opening is taller to allow larger 1/2 in. tube thimbles to pass through. All Factor 55 fairleads are coated with a durable MIL-A-8625F TYPE III gunmetal gray hard-anodized finish with a laser-engraved logo. That finish is not a cosmetic choice; the hard coating resists abrasion, damage from extreme side pulls, and is one of the top-five hardest materials known to exist. Factor 55 Tree Saver Straps
Applications vary from easily attaching to vehicles that are not equipped with recovery points, to using your winch and Tree Saver strap to attach to the closest recovery point or nearest tree. The flat shape of the straps prevents them from rolling and twisting when attached to tubular shapes like bumper stingers, steering components, and nerf bars. Even polyester webbing materials retain a small amount of material stretch, and since the total energy stored is a function of the percent of stretch and the overall length of the strap, Factor55 has designed each strap to be the perfect length to wrap around a tree and still retain the necessary webbing overlap and stitch count for the rated loads. The overall length of the Tree Saver Strap is 8 ft., and this is reduced to only 4 ft. long when used in the common basket configuration.
