Factor 55 Splicer shackle mounts differ from their standard shackle mounts because the rope runs through the shackle mount itself; they're spliced onto the winch's rope. These synthetic rope shackle mounts protect rope from UV damage, don't require a sheer pin, and are available in several styles for use on trucks, Jeeps, SUVs, and ATV/UTVs.

Factor 55 Flat Splicer winch shackles can be folded flat against winch fairleads minimizing vehicle frontal protrusion for uncompromised vehicle approach angles. At a mere 1.75 in. thick, and equipped with integrated EPDM rubber pads, they can accommodate the pin and bow sections of common 3/4 in. shackles, as well as the pin ends of larger 7/8 in. shackles.

Note:

* A knowledge of synthetic rope splicing is required for them to be used properly. Factor 55 recommends either the locking Brummel Splice or Long Bury Splice
* Due to the splice-on design, the Working Load Limit (WLL) is based on the rope diameter used. Each splice-on shackle mount exceeds minimum bend radius requirements to provide full breaking strengths of synthetic winch lines used.
