These super tough high-speed steel cutter pilot pins allow for more accurate positioning of the cutter. During the drilling process, the pilot pin retracts and allows internal coolant to reach the cutting teeth. The pilot pin then automatically ejects the core material slug from the center of the cutter after the drilling cycle is completed.
