In 1938, Vic Edelbrock built his first intake manifold so he could get more power from his 1932 Ford roadster. After some modification, his “slingshot” manifold helped his flathead Ford set a new quarter mile record. Word got around about this manifold, leading Edelbrock to go into manufacturing after the end of World War II. As Vic and his successors continued to chase increased performance, his company spread into new markets. Intake Manifolds: The first thing that comes to mind when you hear Edelbrock is intake manifolds, and for good reason. Edelbrock has been perfecting intake manifold design since the very beginning, using the best tools available. Whether you are looking to improve performance and driveability, towing, all-out high rpm performance, or something in between, Edelbrock has an intake manifold for your engine.
Carburetors: An Edelbrock carburetor isn’t just a great performer. It’s also designed to be easy to tune. Most tasks, including float bowl adjustments and needle swaps, can be done without draining or removing the unit from the engine.
Cylinder Heads: Edelbrock added cylinder heads to their product offerings in 1986. The company has built a reputation for offering heads that deliver great performance at a low price for street cars, as well as high performance heads that can keep up with demanding race applications. Its various lines help engines generate the right balance between a street friendly torque curve and high rpm racing performance.
Fuel Injection Kits: Edelbrock introduced the first aftermarket fuel injection kit in 1979. Over the years, it has remained the leader in these kits, offering an easy way for tuners to add the drivability and power benefits of EFI to classic engines. The company’s new ECU also can control the distributor and cooling fans, giving your classic motor the same tunability as a modern factory powerplant. Thanks to Bluetooth compatibility, you can tune your fuel delivery and ignition curve from a smartphone app.
Top End Kits: Does figuring out which performance upgrades go together give you a headache? Edelbrock takes the guesswork out of performance improvements with its range of top end kits. These kits include carburetors, intake manifolds and heads that are designed and tested to deliver proven performance when used together.
Superchargers: Thanks to their high efficiency superchargers, Edelbrock supercharger kits deliver maximum power at low boost. This makes them ideal for street applications, as they require little or no modification to the engine’s internals. Edelbrock makes kits for specific applications that include everything you need for installation. The company also offers general purpose kits built around popular engines that can be modified to fit the vehicle.
Valve Covers: Edelbrock makes a selection of contemporary and classic valve cover designs borrowing from its motorsport heritage. These valve covers give your motor the custom look you want with the space you need for a high performance valve train.
