Edelbrock divides their kits into three stages, from simple street focused upgrades to full-on race applications.
Stage 1: These kits are built for the simplest bolt-on installation. They’re designed for use with completely stock engines, fuel pumps and emissions equipment. A bypass system disengages the pulley at light throttle loads, conserving fuel.
Stage 2: These kits offer more boost and come with larger fuel system components, competition air intake kit, and a custom matched tune. They still retain the clutch system of Stage 1 kits.
Stage 3: These kits include all of the necessary parts and components that someone would need to build a custom supercharged racing setup. These systems are meant for competition racing use only.
