After some modification, his “slingshot” manifold helped his flathead Ford set a new quarter mile record. Intake Manifolds: The first thing that comes to mind when you hear Edelbrock is intake manifolds, and for good reason. Cylinder Heads: Edelbrock added cylinder heads to their product offerings in 1986. Edelbrock LS bare race blocks are designed to meet the needs of today's high performance engine builders and racing enthusiasts. They are available in standard and tall deck height combinations and are engineered for maximum clearance around a 4.600 in. stroke crankshaft. With their unique design, Edelbrock engineers were able to minimize windage in the rotating assembly, leading to superior engine lubrication at higher rpm.
